Professional Supervision

Caroline Burrows provides supervision to Psychologists, Social Workers, Counsellors and other mental health practitioners. Supervision may be accessed on a regular basis (such as fortnightly or monthly) or on an 'as needed' basis.

Supervision provides a space for practitioners to review their clinical work, reflect on their professional and personal development and gain insights from the perspective of another practitioner.

Caroline believes that it is important for practitioners to feel safe, supported and free from judgement, as this facilitates open reflection and learning. She aims to create a space in which practitioners feel able to honestly reflect on the challenges of clinical practice, increase self-awareness and grow both professionally and personally. She is warm, approachable and has a good sense of humour. Caroline encourages case discussion as well as exploration of other themes such as clinical processes, ethical dilemmas and organisational issues. In supervision Caroline also emphasises the importance of self-care, in order to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.

Caroline's areas of clinical speciality are EMDR, ACT and trauma therapy. In addition to clinical supervision, Caroline also enjoys mentoring therapists to develop their own private practice.

EMDR Consultation

Caroline is an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant and provides consultation to both new and experienced EMDR therapists. She is passionate about EMDR Therapy and loves encouraging practitioners to develop their skills and grow as EMDR therapists. Caroline is available to support therapists complete the process of becoming an EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner, which requires 10 sessions with an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant. Visit the EMDRAA website to find out more about this process. Modes of Supervision/Consultation

Caroline is available for supervision and EMDR consultation both face-to-face and via Zoom or Skype.
